Start Project Workflow (1.5.0)
Start shared services and selected project workers with prerequisite and port checks.
In a site’s Project Workflow panel, review detected dependencies, select workers, and click Start Project. Worker selection is explicit because commands execute your application code.
- Shared services: PHP, Nginx, DNS, and supported local database dependencies detected from .env and herd.yml/stratos.yml.
- Optional workers: Vite, artisan queue:work, artisan schedule:work, and Laravel Reverb (Pro).
- PHP and project dependencies must already be installed. Vite uses the active Node version and the project’s installed Vite executable, not arbitrary package.json scripts.
- Use VITE_PORT and REVERB_SERVER_PORT to choose distinct local worker ports. Ports occupied by another project are reported before launch.
- Remote/custom database hosts and database URLs are not automatically started or verified. Align local database ports with Stratos before starting.
The panel reports process startup, worker exit codes, and bounded output. Vite and Reverb are checked for an HTTP response; queue and scheduler checks confirm their processes remain running. Open the site to verify application-level health.
Stop Project Workers stops this project’s workers while shared web/database services remain available to other sites. Cancelling startup also preserves shared services. Stop All Services stops workers too; quitting Stratos terminates its project workers.
